Monoprice Compact 3‑Port 65W GaN Charger Review
The best thing a reviewer can say about a product is that they use it. This $29.99 Monoprice Compact 3-Port 65W GaN Charger goes everywhere with me.
The Monoprice Compact 3‑Port 65W GaN Charger is, as its name implies, compact. It is only 2.59″ x 1.10″ x 1.57″. With its prongs folded and stowed, it ends up in my pocket as often as my backpack.
I use the Monoprice Compact 3‑Port 65W GaN Charger to top off my iPad, power my MacBook Pro and Lenovo Nano, and offer sustenance to my phone or headphones, depending on need and circumstances.
The 65W charger includes three (3) ports, two with USB-C and one with USB-A. The output varies depending on what’s attached. (See the Monoprice diagram to understand the options.) When in laptop mode, it’s pretty much dedicated as many laptops require 65Ws to charge. But any other combination results in up to three devices charging simultaneously at various rates depending on their draws and how many are attached.
Monoprice Compact 3‑Port 65W GaN Charger Charging Configurations
It’s hard to say much else about a GaN charger. It powers devices, works reliably, and travels well. Again, my best endorsement is that it goes with me everywhere.
As usual, Monoprice’s basic white packaging is minimalist and eco-friendly.
